The Parish Council has three wards:
• South – the area south of the A31 covering Matchams, Avon Heath and the Grange area.
This Ward has 2 councillors: Cllr N Hindmarch and Cllr JB Parker
• West – the area to the west of Woolsbridge Road up to Horton Road and the Moors River
This Ward has 4 councillors: Cllr C Johnson, Cllr B Waugh, Cllr S Marshall and Cllr S Cousins
• East – the area east of Woolsbridge Road up to the Verwood Road, taking in Moors Valley and Avon Castle.
This Ward has 6 councillors: Cllr A Hill, Cllr S Barham, Cllr T Monkcom, Cllr M Dyer, Cllr B Goringe and Cllr JW Parker
