Broadband & Mobile Update Local Magazine Article Sept 2025
The Parish Council is continuing to push for better broadband and mobile coverage. Wessex Internet has been commissioned by Building Digital UK to bring ultrafast broadband to much of the parish by the end of 2025, while Trooli plans to start their rollout in late 2025. Openreach is also active in parts of the parish, but without a clear update. To help ensure coverage, we encourage residents to register interest with all providers.
For mobile, Dorset Council is working with Forestry England on a potential new mast on Horton Road, with another site also being explored. We’re also pressing EE, Vodafone and O2 to upgrade their networks, though responses so far have been mixed.
We’ll continue to update residents as progress is made. For questions or to share your experiences, please contact us at broadband@stleonardsparishcouncil.gov.uk.
